说起来，地球的储水量是很丰富的，共有14.5亿立方千米之多。但是其中海水却占了97.2%，陆地淡水仅占2.8%，与人类生活最密切的江河、淡水湖和浅层地下水等淡水，又仅占淡水储量的0.34%。更令人担忧的是，这数量极有限的淡水，正越来越多地受到污染。据科学界估计，全世界有半数以上的国家和地区缺乏饮用水，特别是经济欠发达的第三世界国家，目前已有70%，即17亿人喝不上清洁水，世界已有将近80%人口受到水荒的威胁。我国人均淡水为世界人均水*的四分之一，属于缺水国家。，全国已有300多个城市缺水，已有29%的人正在饮用不良水，其中已有7000万人正在饮用高氟水。每年因缺水而造成的经济损失达100多亿元，因水污染而造成的经济损失更达400多亿元。

初次到水厂给我的感觉是草绿绿的，很干净。讲解员老师和水厂人员给我们进行讲解，我们有序顺铁梯走上滤水池。映入眼帘的是一个方方的池子，池子里的水是不断流动的，还有机器转动发出的声音，水厂工作人员逐个按程序讲解自来水抽取、沉淀、反应池、过滤等环节，在一个池子里我看到有许多斜管，可以看出水由下往上流，在这里水变得清多了，在水净化过程中还要消毒。我们还参观加药房等，最后讲解员把我们带到清水池边，这里的水池底下有许多沙子，工作人员介绍这不是普通沙子是石英砂，通过再次处理后水就能供应千家万户了。

据了解，陆地上的淡水资源只占地球水体总量的2。53%，其中近70%是固体冰川，难以利用，同时全世界的水资源分布很不均匀，而且水污染也在进一步恶化着我们生活用水的质量，这都使全世界缺水问题日益严峻。
水，对人类来说，实在是太珍贵了!
如果没有水，人类自己也终将灭亡。在此，我建议，大家都应该从我做起，从现在做起，节约用水，保护水资源。
首先，要培养节水意识。要通过宣传教育活动，引起人们对水危机现状的关注，增强人们保护水资源的意识。
第二，要养成节约用水的好习惯。我们要从身边的小事做起，注意身边的每一个细节，节约每一滴水。例如，洗手、洗脸控制水量，随手关闭关紧水龙头，用节水型设备冲厕所，集中清洗衣服，不玩耗水游戏等等。
第三，要注意水资源的再利用。水的二次利用也是节水的好方法。例如，可以用洗米水洗菜、洗碗，可以用盆浴的水洗衣、拖地，甚至可以集下空调水用来浇花、冲厕所。
只要我们每个人都从点滴做起，节水、爱水、珍惜水资源、保护水资源，才能保护我们美好的世界。

有人说，水是取之不尽，用之不竭的。但我可以肯定地回答：不是这样的！虽然地球有70.8%的面积被水覆盖，但97.55%的水是海水，既不能直接饮用，也不能灌溉。在余下的淡水中，人类真正能够利用的水，还不到世界淡水总量的1%！我们不能埋怨上苍对我们的不公，给了我们一个缺水的星球；相反，我们应当感到自责，上苍给了我们一个多么美丽的星球，可我们呢？
现今的世界，淡水仅仅占总水量的百分之三，其中三分之二还是冰，可见现在世界上的水资源有多么贫乏！“假如地球上只剩下最后一滴水，那么就是我们的眼泪。”每听到这一句话，我的心就不住地紧张起来，害怕真有这么一天。现在，*真是发达了：工厂林立、高楼大厦随处可见。人口越来越多，水资源就不大供得上了，本来节省节省就够了，可人们却恣意浪费它，再加上污染，*就这么变成了世界上十二个贫水国家之一！
绿地消融着，取代而之的是那贪婪、永不满意的沙漠。可罪魁祸首，却是人类自己！不敢想象，就这么样下去，地球会变成什么！撒哈拉大沙漠原本是一个很漂亮的地方。就是由于非洲地区的干燥炎热，使得它在三十年代到七十年代的时间内已经吞没了六百五十一*方千米的可耕地。现在，干旱已经波及到了毛里塔尼亚、马里、尼日利亚、乍得、苏丹、埃及、埃塞俄比亚等非洲的广大地区。
曾经目睹过这样一件事情，有一次，我和父母出去吃饭。在饭店的洗手间里，我看到一个水龙头开得很大却没人管。我问旁边的一位服务员阿姨：“阿姨，这水龙头怎么开得……”没等我说完，那位阿姨不耐烦地说道：“去，去，小孩子懂什么事？让它开着！又不是你付水费，走！”接下来，她就和别人说话去了，我好像听到这样一句话：“这个孩子真傻，水又不是供不上了，水用都用不完，干吗管这个！”那家饭店我记不清了，但那句刺耳的话一直在我心中回响，让我一辈子都不想去那家饭店了。水，真的用不完吗？答案是不。当这家饭店恣意浪费水，甚至以为水取之不尽时，有多少贫水山区的人们，正在极其渴望着一杯甚至一滴水，好滋润滋润他们干燥的口舌！
你知道吗？假如一个水龙头每秒钟只漏一滴水，一年就能积成惊人的三百六十吨；
假如不下雨，地球上的淡水只能够我们用四年左右的时间；
假如不吃任何食物的话，人们可以活上相称长的.一段时间，有一些胖人甚至可能活上一年；但不喝水的人最多最多也只能活上个10余天；
炼一吨钢就需要两百多吨水，提炼一吨汽油要二十多吨水，甚至做两公斤面包也得需要一公斤的水。
电视上，节约用水的广告不少，但可引起了多少人的关注？答案是仅有一点点、不到一亿分之一。那就让我们一起从身边做起，从小事做起，一起来做一个“节约小能手”吧！

二、水可以循环利用，淘米水富有营养，用来浇花，可以让花儿长得更加茁壮。淘米水也可以用来清洗蔬菜瓜果，更能有效地清洗掉蔬菜瓜果上残留的农药；洗脸、洗手、洗衣服用过的脏水也可以用来沖厕所等。这样循环利用水资源，一天可节约很多水呢。
三、用淋浴冼澡时，时间不能过长。洗的时间过长，怕洗手间里空气供应不足而出安全事故，同是也浪费很多水。
四、清洗东西前要先用纸。当炊具等物品沾上油烟时，应首先用纸巾大致擦去上面难以用水冲洗干净的油污，再用水进行清洗。这样做不仅能让清洗时更加简便快捷，还可以节水。
五、做节约用水的宣传者，号召人。告诉身边的人节约用水的重要性，并引导他们该如何节约用水，一起行动。
以上几点就是我提出的倡议。让我们携手同心，共志成城，珍惜节约每一滴水，坚决不让水龙头流泪！

“水是生命之源，我们要保护每一滴水。”这句话说得没错，如果没有了水，地球就会干裂；如果没有了水，我们人类就可能渴死；如果没有了水，就没有了我们这个美丽的世界。我们要爱惜每一滴水，爱惜地球母亲每一滴眼泪。
我校有好多同学，一下课，就跑到水龙头跟前，把水龙头打开，然后就拿水泼别人。走的时候也不把水龙头关上，就飞快地跑。
我以前也干过这样一件“傻”事。
每个礼拜，我和姐姐都要玩水，我们把水龙头打开，水表里的红色三角就转起来了。水龙头开得越大，红三角转的速度越快，付的水费也就越多。
一天，我和姐姐又要玩水了，姐姐一打开水龙头，水表里的红三角又转起来了。姐姐看了，自言自语道：“要是水流出来，水表不走那该有多好啊！”这句话正巧被在旁的我听见了，我想了想，就说：“姐姐，我们只要把水龙头开得小一点，水表就不会走了。”“真的吗？”姐姐惊讶的问。“不信你自我试试看。”姐姐试了试，果然，和我说的一样。姐姐又高兴又惊奇地问：“谁告诉你的？”“谁也没有告诉我。”“昨日，我洗完脸，没有把水龙头关紧。水一滴一滴地流出来，可水表一点也没走。”我神秘地对她说。“好，好，好！那我们快积水。”可是她一想，便皱起眉头，姐姐说：“这样太慢了！”“不要紧，我们只要从早上开始一向积到中午，不是就有许多水了？”她立刻迎上去说：“这叫积少成多。”说完，我俩发出低微的会心的笑声。
这个“秘密”最后被爸爸发现了。
我们争先恐后的把这个“秘密”告诉爸爸，以为爸爸会表扬我们。谁明白，爸爸语重心长地对我们说：“你们明白你们在干什么吗？这是偷水！”“啊？我和姐姐呆住了。我们都成了小偷了，这么严重呀！爸爸又说：“如果人人都像你们一样，谁给国家交水费呀！你们不是偷了国家的水吗？在说，浪费水也是不就应的！”听了爸爸这番发人深思的话，我和姐姐的脸“唰”地一下子红了。过了一会儿，我忽然昂起头，指着那盆水说：“爸爸，我们把这盆水交工吧！”“这倒不必了，以后可不能再这样做了。”爸爸严肃地对我们说。我们响亮的回答：“是！”

我们一起把水桶提到了卫生间。我看见一个大水缸在里面，盛着半缸水，有点浑浊。奶奶一鼓作气，提起水桶把水倒入水缸。
