这个小家伙长着一双乌溜溜的小眼睛，像两颗黑色的小珍珠。小眼睛下面还长着一张好吃的小嘴巴，只要一发现好吃的，它就猛得伸长脖子，一口咬住不放。它的背上还有背着一张“小盾牌”，就像一个小英雄。“盾牌”上刻着不规则的六边形，爸爸说，古时候人们会用这个“盾牌”来刻字、卜卦。“盾牌”下面有一个圆溜溜的肚皮，肚皮上有几个“黑眼圈”，像一个刚苏醒的熊猫眼。
有时，它潜入水中，脖子伸地长长的，四只有力的小脚使劲划水，小尾巴左右摆动，灵活极了；有时，它趴在水里一动不动，就像在教小石头潜水呢。它把脖子、小脚、尾巴统统藏在“小盾牌”里，仿佛变成了一块绿色的小石头；有时，他站在一块凹凸不*的石头上，昂着头，一副趾高气昂、神气活现的模样，仿佛是在指挥着石头“士兵们”打仗；有时候，他玩累了，就悠闲自如地爬上一块小石头，懒洋洋地晒着太阳，一点也不嫌弃他它那硬邦邦的石头床，很快就进入了梦乡。

一天，我帮长毛龟换水，就把它放在一旁。我一边换水，一边哼道：“洗刷刷，洗刷刷，洗刷刷，洗刷刷……”我自娱自乐，谁知道换完水，却发现长毛龟不见了！我俯下身子在大厅里仔细地寻找。终于找到了，原来它在沙发下面闭目养神呢，还挺会调养身心的，嘿嘿！我想送他回巢，不料，他见我要抓它，就划动四肢溜之大吉。不一会儿就进了我的房间，跑得可真快，要是让它和兔子赛跑，我的乌龟肯定能赢。

小乌龟刚来到我家的时候有些“认生”，东张西望地四处打量，给它喂食的时候总是缩头缩脑的呆在一边不敢吃。慢慢地，小乌龟熟悉了我家的环境，开始进食了。别看小乌龟嘴巴小小的，可是吃起东西来一点也不含糊。吃饱后，它就懒洋洋的往笼子的角落一趴，小脑袋和四肢缩进龟壳里，开始休息了。

有一次，我给它换水，它很生气的怪我打扰它睡觉了，故意要和我作对似的，我刚把它拿出来放在桌子上，它就在桌子上爬来爬去。一会把我的铅笔盒顶翻，一会又把我的作业本“翻”乱。当我换好水，想把它放回它的小家的时候，它竟然“噗通”一下子掉到了地上，而且还是四肢朝天。
